Lakeview Lodge is located on a 28-acre site of rural countryside and owned by AppleCast Ltd, which was set up in 2006 and became a registered charity in 2008.
Lakeview is an Eco Lodge built using Structural insulated panels. The building of the Lodge was overseen by Ball and Berry Building Inspectors and built by the staff and volunteers of AppleCast. It comprises 2 double bedrooms and a staff office/ sleeping in room, an open plan lounge, kitchen dinner with patio doors that open to look over the idyllic scenery.
The charity objectives focus on the relief of disabled, disaffected, socially excluded persons of all ages and their careers, through the provision of education, recreation and leisure time occupation in particular facilities for fishing, and horticulture in order that their lives may be improved. AppleCast provides a safe and secure environment for people who have an interest in fishing and the environment.
We have developed bespoke outdoor activities and alternative education opportunities which include, horticulture, conservation, aquaponics, agriculture, bespoke woodwork, animal care and fishery management. On site there is a garden centre, petting farm, coffee shop and ice cream parlour.
